It’s like a new truck! Both of my front shocks were bad on the 2000 S-10.
You can easily compress the old ones.
Changed stabilizer links and bushings. Drill makes easy work of the long bolt.
New new bushings arent split like the old ones and the ones I replaced on my van. Instructions say they slip on... un huh (written in 1985). I could get it over the end but im scraping up the inside of the bushing. So I took a razor blade and make a split like the OEM ones had and pops on the bar perfectly.
New shocks and stabilizer bar stuff. Half-assed painted the bar blue. +2 handling.
I no longer feel every pebble and crack in the road and the front no longer sags.

Shock absorbers are a good return on investment.
What kind did you install? You didn’t put them on the rear also?

Monroe has a rebate on the set of four until the end of April. The rebate amount is $50 for four shocks. It makes the rear shocks basically free.

I know :) I bought a pair for the van. Doesnt say it has to be for one vehicle so I will give it a shot.

Good return on my back too. Monroe 37129 OESpectrum.
I find the rear shocks still good, but should replace them soon. Find its a bit bouncy now that the front is fixed.
The rear shocks on my caravan are going bad, so I bought two of those instead.

Yeah it’s nice, I just did the rear on my old Mercedes and it doesn’t wag anymore.
